Assist. Nuša Zadravec Šedivy, psychologist, young researcher
Nuša is working in the field of research and prevention of suicidal behaviour, where her main focus is on encouraging mental health for youth and preventing suicidal behaviour.
She is works at the UP IAM Slovene Centre for Suicide Research, where she is a young researcher, researching the special problematic for her doctoral dissertation and participates in other projects. From the study year 2014/2015 she lectures at undergraduate programme of Biopsychology at UP FAMNIT, and from the study year 2015/2016 also at master’s programme of Psychology at FF UM. In the spring of 2015 she finished Practicum I of cognitive behavioural therapy programme.
While studying psychology, she gained knowledge and experiences in the field of consulting activities and working as a volunteer in health care. She provided psychological support to children and youth at the Department for Child Psychiatry at the University Medical Centre Ljubljana and at the Counselling Centre for Children, Adolescents and Parents Ljubljana. As part of study training she also worked at Pediatric Clinic in Maribor. She gained additional skills by working as a volunteer at Helpline for children and adolescents (TOM).
As a young researcher she is preparing her doctoral dissertation.
